Guest reviews for Railay Village Resort Quick response and very cheap rates. Could be improved though if you had an instant confirmation feature on the website., May 25, 2010
by Stephen Visit Date:May 23, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Fantastic stay! We stayed in the spa villa which was at the front of the resort and was very luxurious. The staff were very helpful and courteous. Room service food was exceptional! The spa services were a bit expensive though compared to the massages prices in Railay." | Great, April 10, 2010
by Rivka Shenberg Visit Date:April 5, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "HiWe enjoyed the place very much, however on our first day we wanted to use the Jacuzzi, there was a problem with the Jacuzzi and we called the housekeeping to fix it. Since then we did not use or try to use the Jacuzzi. When we checked out we were asked to pay 3000 bath for fixing the Jacuzzi which we never used. (they claimed that the Jacuzzi handle was broken....we did not touch it as I SAID WE NEVER USED THE Jacuzzi)The manager was not in place and did not answer the phone. The lady that charged us was very unpleasant , she did not release us unless we pay the 3000 bath, we had no choice (we had a flight to catch) so I paid it (I felt like an hostage) I still plan to contact the manager and to get my money back, but this ruin our memory of the great time we had in this place. Thanks Rivka" | VERY attentive and great sevice!! im Very impressed!! will always use them in the future!!, April 4, 2010

by Anna Visit Date:March 27, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Railay Village for us certainly looked like the best hotel on East Railay if you want to stay at a quality hotel with good rates. Location is great. We stayed in a Pool Villa and was very happy with that choice. The pool outside was big and beautiful and never crowded. Breakfast was very good - they make pancakes and omelettes on your order and there is plenty of fresh fruit, sandwiches, hot food, cereals etc. All hotel staff was very friendly. Only minus was that there were never any hot water at all in the room -but it was so hot during our stay that we didnt mind a cooling shower in the evening. Room was spacious, bathroom as well with both shower and a bathtub. Cleaning very good. East Railay is a very nice beach - west is cheaper in terms of food and drinks but it stinks quite a lot from the swamp - we named it stinky beach instead ;-) I would definitely stay at Railay Village next time." | perfect, March 28, 2010
by h.g. de haan Visit Date:March 26, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Railay beach was not what we expected to be. Also Railay village we thought was so so.Room was okay, but the resort lies right across the boat taxis, so beach so so, and cannot go in the sea there. Go to Phangang beach, that was great, if you are there early. Later lots of tourists.Railay west is much better than east, which is mangrove, and mud.No alcohol served in the hotel..food also so so. Much better other places on RailayWe recommend go to Ao Nang and book a tour to Railay if you like it." | Brilliant, April 11, 2010
by Bengt Linder Visit Date:March 24, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Railay Village Resort on the west side is beautifully located close to the beach and the garden is marvellous. We had a spa villa with yacuzzi and a nice small, private garden. It is good value for money and the staff is also the best, at least compared to nearby resorts. There are no alcohol served within the facility but restaurants close by serve beer and spirits. We would not recommend Railay East, the beach is poor and it is more of a back-packer location." | No problems here, April 1, 2010
by mattias nilsson Visit Date:March 21, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Pool villa - nice room note that some villas are located on second floor and with kids easiar to be on first floor. The food on this resort is ok but the resturant not so popular. The garden, pool and the room well make up for this. DVD to borrow. Easy to walk both to east and west Railay" | without any problems, March 24, 2010
by Laura Visit Date:March 9, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Stayed in a pool Villa for 4 nights, it is beautiful and offers loads of space; unfortunately there is too little attention on detail that could be expected for this price (you will get far better value-for-money in the rest of Thailand): lightbulbs that did not work, faucets that were broken and not fixed properly, marks on mirror - just a little careless.Rooms in the pool villa have incredibly thin walls (also due to the connecting door to the next apartment) so unless you constantly want to participate in your neighbours life I can only recommend staying in a spa villa that is not shared. Asked for a change of romms but staff was not really helpful." | excellent, easy to use, September 2, 2010
by Judith Mackenzie Visit Date:February 21, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The most spectacular hotel, with superb staff and clean rooms with comfortable beds, great A/C. Would love to return, one of our best vacations" | February 22, 2010
by Makiko Shinohara Visit Date:February 9, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Beautiful resort on West Railay, we stayed for 1 week and very much enjoyed it. The room is beautiful and clean, the restaurant serves good food. The west Railay beach is pretty, but we enjoyed our time also on Phranang beach ( about 15 min.walk) and also on Tongsai bay. Short lagoon trip was quite exciting, and the night at East Railay was a huge fun." | good, February 2, 2010
by Yu Jia Visit Date:January 29, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "the hotel is quite nice, the railay beach is nice. but masquito is really a nightmare. The next day no towel and supplies in the room, we have to ask for that." | Perfect. Worked like clock work, February 3, 2010
by Amir Gal Visit Date:January 25, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "This is a great resort. It is nicely set in the jungle and there an ambience of privacy. We stayed in the spa villa and it was perfect. The room is spacious and the facilities are great.Staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very good. The location is great. We will get back there." | good, February 16, 2010
by Malcolm Visit Date:January 8, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Very nice and really enjoyed. Next time we will spend even more days at railay village. One thing may be you can book transport cause to go on longtail with four luggages to carry was a tiring feat but at least it was really worth it" | very efficient and ready to give alternatives when chosen option was not available. Unfortunately not all resorts in Krabi are served by Sawadee, so for a complete picture of what is available one needs to do further research., January 1, 2010
by Ottavia Mazzoni Visit Date:December 29, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "We arrived later than expected and the room was not ready. We were asked to wait to allow the cleaners to finish with it. The room (Spa villa) is spacious, but there is not a single place to put away the clothes (apart from where the safe is, which does not accomodate more than a few pairs of pants) therefore the suitcases ended up occupying most of the space available on the floor. Also unless one plans to have a jacuzzi bath every day, I don t think it is worth the extra money. Days were perfect given the location and the facilities, but nights were a total nightmere. Hoards of voracious mosquitoes in the room, no mosquito net on the bed, an AC system that could have frozen us to death for 5 minutes, while the next 5 would have left us sweltering (not too good for one s sinuses), not to speak of the noise, more suited to a jet engine. The bed only had a thick duvet on it (which seems rather inappropriate when the temperature outside is 30+...I can only guess that the AC, if kept on all night at 21 degrees (or below) would have taken care of the mosquitoes by making them unable to move; of the duvet by making it an essential item for not dying of pneumonia; and of the lack of storage space by the sheer necessity of wearing everything at night. We didn t sleep a wink each and every night! An experience not to be repeated. Pity for the swimming pool, great for children to chill out after a day by the sea, but next time it will have to be another resort." | Easy and painless!, December 27, 2009
by Terry Wayne Chamney Visit Date:December 21, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Our second visit here and LOVED IT once again! The rooms were spacious, well appointed and impeccably clean. The bathrooms were large with seperate tub and shower. We had 2 rooms and they were adjoined, excellent for families. The 2 pools were definate highlights, especially with the kids. And the buffet breakfast was a hit with everyone.. good selection. Especially the made to order omelets.
